Adding that he does not want to compete with the Khans of Bollywood, Prabhas says, “They have inspired many people throughout India. But Bollywood and the media have received me very well. In fact, post Baahubali, Ranbir Kapoor even messaged me.”
As for speaking with Megastar Chiranjeevi about the film’s trailer, Prabhas is simply over the moon.
“Chiranjeevi garu messaged me about the trailer and I called him. I felt goose bumps while talking to him!” says the actor, who lends his own voice even for Hindi films. “I can read and write Hindi, but we don’t speak Hindi at home. I usually speak with my Muslim friends or in Hyderabad, so I know the language. But they mostly use UP slang, so it’s a bit challenging, but I learnt it with the help of a master,” he says. Coming after Baahubali, the actor admits to feeling some pressure over this film.
“Director Sujeeth narrated the story to me before Baahubali, but I knew how big that film was, so I advised the producers and the director to make it a screenplay-based film. Doing quality work requires time,” adds the Mirchi actor.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor says that Hyderabad has now become her second home. “I have been shooting for Saaho over the last two years and the kind of love and warmth that the entire team has showered on me, has given me precious memories. I spent so much time here and the experience of working for this film is very close my heart. This is my Telugu debut and I couldn’t have asked for a better film,” she says.
Talking about her co-star Prabhas, she adds, “He is one of the most amazing co-stars I have ever worked with. He is such a genuine person too.”
