China Floods: Heartbreaking Videos!

The heavy rainfall reported in the central Chinese province of Henan left locals in a perilous situations. Many videos are going viral on all social media platforms in which people were caught in a dangerous situation due to the floods.

Here is a video, in which one could see a mother and two children have been trapped in a deep mud hole in Zhengzhou, China amidst heavy rains.

Here is another video in which a woman was swept away by the current and she was saved by passers by in Zhengzhou.

More than 160 trains have been suspended at Zhengzhoudong Railway Station as of 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday. Children from a school orchestra took out their instruments and played the song “Ode to the Motherland” in the waiting hall to brighten up the spirit of stranded passengers.

A mall in Zhengzhou was flooded on the first floor underground due to heavy rain, and many people were trapped. Mall staff and shoppers worked together to pull out the trapped people one by one with ropes.

Song From Hare Rama Hare Krishna Played At iPhone 13 Launch!

The Apple launch event held on Tuesday night and the company made many announcements. But what grabbed our attention is the promo video with iPhone 13 in which one could listen to the track Dum Maaro Dum from the movie Hare Rama Hare Krishna. The promo was also shown at the launch event. The song was cronned by as Asha Bhosle, Usha.

Usha speaking to a news agency said that she was very happy and added, “This is a very special, golden moment for RD Burman. I wish he was alive to enjoy it.”

She further added that, “It was such a proud moment for me when I was asked to sing in ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’. I was a performer and Dev saab had especially flown into Chennai with Shashi Kapoor and RD Burman to listen to me. Later when he told me that they wanted me to sing for ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’, I was speechless; my joy knew no bounds.”

Zeenat Aman who was seen in the song also reacted and said that, “The film was shot in Kathmandu and when I heard this song for the first time, I loved it but surely didn’t expect it to become such a mammoth chartbuster. They all talk to me about this time when I am at any music event even today.”

Afghan Journalists: Journos Beaten By Taliban For Covering Kabul Protests

A large group of women raised slogans against Pakistan and protests took place on the streets of Kabul on Tuesday. Several journalists who were covering the protest were arrested and now photos of Afghan journos who were reporting on the Kabul protests were thrashed by the Taliban.

In a tweet, American journalist Marcus Yam shared a photo of the two journalists showing injuries all over the body. Yam wrote, “Painful. Afghan journalists from Nemat Naqdi & Taqi Daryabi display wounds sustained from Taliban torture & beating while in custody after they were arrested for reporting on a women’s rally in Kabul.”

According to the TOLO news, the Taliban detained its cameraperson Wahid Ahmadi and confiscated his camera. It is said that Taliban forces prevented some journalists from filming the protest.

According to Etilaatroz, Daryabi and Naqdi – a video editor and a reporter who was covering the protest led by women in the Kart-e-Char area of western Kabul on Tuesday, were abducted by the Taliban and taken to different rooms and thrashed and tortured.

“We were shouting that we are journalists. But they didn’t care,” Mr Naqdi was quoted by the LA Times, “I thought they were going to kill me. . .They kept on ridiculing us…” The Taliban also stopped the journalists from clicking the pictures of the protesting women.

According to the reports, three other journalists, including the local head of Euronews, a pan-European TV news network headquartered in France have been abducted.

All top positions were handed to key leaders from the movement and the Haqqani network, the group’s most violent branch and one known for devastating attacks. The Taliban had promised an inclusive government that would reflect the ethnic identities that make up the country.

Now, a video of Sri Lankan singer Yohani Diloka De Silva’s version of the song Manike Mage Hithe has gone viral on social media and most of the netizens are using the background music for doing the reels. The song, Manike Mage Hithe is a superhit on Instagram. Now, a video of an IndiGo air hostess dancing to Manike Mage Hithe’s song on the empty flight is going viral on social media platforms and it was widely shared by many. The song has got more than 13 million views. In the video, one could see Aayat Urf Afreen dressed in uniform and is dancing to Manike Mage Hithe on the empty flight during a halt. She shared the video with the caption, “Long halts! Aur crew thoda sa dance na karein. Thanks to @jodianoorabh for these lovely steps.”

 

Manike Mage Hithe is a Sinhala song by Satheeshan Rathnayaka. The song went viral after Yohani’s version was released in the month of May. In just three months of the release of the song, it has got more than 91 million views on YouTube.

In an interview, when Yohani was asked about the song going viral online, she said that “We never thought that this would be such a hit. We never planned for it too – We simply did it because we wanted to create the song, and loved doing it. We enjoyed every bit of the project but never anticipated the kind of response that came along with it.”

To a question about how did it feel when Amitabh praised her on Twitter, she answered, “It was a really funny story. I was asleep, and my manager called me and told me, ‘Amitabh Bachchan has tweeted your song.’ Somehow, my mind didn’t register it and I went back to sleep. Then suddenly, when the realization hit me, I woke up and realized who he meant! It was a dream come true – and sometimes I feel as if I’m still dreaming. It’s surreal, but also so humble of him. I hope someday I can perform live in front of him.”
