Is Warner hinting at his exit from Sunrisers Hyderabad?

Published

on

One just cannot talk about Sunrisers Hyderabad by not taking the name of David Warner. Such is the bonding between the team and the Aussie player. He is been a vital member of the team since 2014. He successfully led the team to playoffs four times and also won the title in 2016. But the recent consequences proved that there is nothing going well between Warner and the team management.

SRH showed a dismal performance in IPL 2021. Even Warner was not in his prime form this season. When the team lost five of its six games under his captaincy, the team management took the harsh decision of sacking him as a captain. He was also removed from the team which eventually led to the wrath of the fans. They questioned management’s cruel decision of sacking Warner from the team for a few bad performances.

Warner seems to be overwhelmed by the love showed by fans. Of late, he has been sharing posts in Telugu and trying to thank the Hyderabad fans. In one of the posts, he shared a romantic note in Telugu, to his wife Candice Warner. Then, he commented in Telugu on a post related to Kane Williamson stating that he loves the NZ skipper. Last night, he once again shared an emotional post in Telugu by saying, ‘I thank all the fans for their unconditional love and support.’

These Telugu posts are now raising doubts about Warner’s equation with the team. Fans are wondering why is he thanking them all of a sudden. Rumours are popping up saying that he may not be included in the SRH squad for the next season and that is the reason why he is sharing posts in Telugu. If that happens, SRH will face the wrath of fans for sure. Hopefully, the management recognizes the bonding between Warner and fans and retains him for the next season.

MC Mary Kom lost in her quarter final bout against Colombian Rio 2016 bronze medallist Ingrit Valencia at the Tokyo Olympics. She was declared the loser in a 3-2 decision in the quarter-final bout.

Speaking to a news channel, Mary Kom said that, “When I entered the doping centre to give my sample after the fight, even then I couldn’t believe that I lost. My coach was trying to tell me that I won, but what does that mean I’m not able to understand.”

She further added that, “I thought I was winning the fight. Then I saw Kiren Rijiju’s tweet on social media about my defeat, I was shocked and upset after that. I don’t know what to say, I can’t believe a decision like this was made.”

She also said that, “I can’t even protest because we were told that’s not allowed in this Olympics. Things like these have happened to me in the past as well in other competitions. It’s not the case with this Olympics alone. A similar thing happened with me in the last boxing world championships also.”

She asserted that this was the worst Olympics for her and very badly organised.
