WhatsApp: Android Chat List May Get A New Look

Published

on

For the Android version, WhatsApp is likely to make some design modifications. According to WaBetaInfo, the features tracker, the messaging app is testing several design changes for the Android app in the beta version. The modification will not be a huge design makeover for the WhatsApp app, but rather a minor UI modification for the messaging platform, according to the report.

Separator lines between chat cells on chat list will no longer be visible in WhatsApp’s new design. When beta users start WhatsApp, the first page, which displays your most recent messages with contacts and groups, will not have the separator lines between contact names. The new change will be available to those with WhatsApp web releases or stable versions from the Google Play Store.

According to the report, Android users will soon be able to use the functionality. New colours in notifications were also included in WhatsApp Beta update 2.21.12.12 for Android OS. This feature showed changes in the notification shades. In dark mode, it changed colour from green to blue.

In the update v2.21.21.7, WhatsApp is also believed to be working on a flash call feature. Users can instantly log in to their accounts using the Flash call functionality.

LG To Launch Facemask With Built-in Mic, Speakers

Published

on

LG plans to launch a face mask with a built-in microphone and speakers that will allow users to carry on conversations without having to remove the mask. LG released the Puricare wearable air purifier last year, and the beta model is now being improved. The microphone and speakers are supposed to utilize VoiceON technology, which eliminates the need for users to remove their masks or raise their voices in order to converse.

“Employing LG’s unique air solution technology, the new PuriCare Wearable delivers enhanced all-around performance with a smaller, lighter, more efficient motor. What hasn’t changed are the reliable LG DUAL fans which control airflow automatically by sensing the user’s breathing patterns to make breathing easier and more natural,” LG notes in a statement.

The weight of the mask is 94 grams and has a 1000 mA battery that lasts up to 8 hours and can be recharged in two hours using an easy charge USB cord. According to LG, the PuriCare Wearable’s elegant, ergonomic design reduces air loss around the nose and chin, resulting in a tight but pleasant seal for hours.

LG has not specified whether the mask filters the air that its users exhale in the same way that it filters the air that they inhale. The company has not mentioned the date of launch, but has stated that it will be officially launched in Thailand in August, with other markets to follow if local regulators give their approval. The Puricare masks were also worn by 120 Thai players, coaches, and staff for the summer games in Tokyo, according to the firm.
